Our HDMI cameras include the HD and HD Lite, HDS and HDS Lite, and NEW Excelis 4K. Each Excelis HDMI camera comes with on-board software – – NO PC REQUIRED! Our MPX series cameras deliver scientific grade images via USB to a Windows PC or Mac. All Excelis cameras come with our full-featured CaptaVision+ software (available for PC and Mac) for camera control, image adjustment, measurements, and reporting. CaptaVision+ v2.4.1 now features Voice Recording!

All Excelis cameras are fully compliant with the McCain National Defense Authorization Act 889 (NDAA 889)! They do not use any electronics or components from prohibited suppliers. You can learn more at the Federal Register.

Connect Your Way!

The Excelis 4K’s unique architecture gives you three ways to connect to the camera and view/capture images and video. 1) Connect directly to a 4K monitor and use the built-in software for viewing – no PC required! Attachable 4K monitor is option, or provide your own monitor. 2) Connect to a PC via USB 3.0 and view images with our powerful CaptaVision+ software (Windows or MacOS). 3) Connect to the LAN via Ethernet and view images on a LAN-connected PC using CaptaVision+. The Excelis 4K delivers video over either HDMI or USB at 30fps.

SONY Camera Sensor

An 8.3MP Sony STARVIS™ IMX585 color CMOS sensor is at the heart of the Excelis 4K. Featuring a true 4K UHD aspect ratio (3840×2160),rolling shutter and back illumination for improved sensitivity, the Excelis 4K delivers high resolution, video-rate live images with superb color rendition.

Free Up Your Workspace

With our optional, attachable 4K OLED or HD monitor, you can open more space around your microscope. The attachable monitor provides enhanced ergonomics by allowing a more natural viewing position of the sample. For stand-alone operation without the need for a PC, use the built-in software to control the camera settings, image acquisition, and perform measurements (requires a USB mouse, included).
